VERIDIAN ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE...
We are a powerhouse firm formed in 1985 in Cupertino, California. Currently, we have 7 active loan consultants who generate an average of over $200 million in annual loan originations. We have access to dozens of elite and hard-to-find wholesale lenders and readily provide referrals from clients all throughout California.
OUR HISTORY...
Sue Wang founded Opus Investment Company in 1985 after a very successful decade as a real estate salesperson. The company became Opus Mortgage in 1989 when Sue began to focus exclusively on 1-4 unit residential home loans. Her dedication to her customers and to her industry carried over from her sales career and helped to develop a long list of enthusiastic, "raving fan" clients who benefit from her wealth of knowledge and experience. Sue reasoned that it certainly isn't rocket science to quote rates and fees but to deliver world-class customer service and substantive advice, along with competitive rates would differentiate herself from her competitors.
With her husband Tony at her side, Sue steadily built the company from the ground up by hand picking loan agents possessing the same belief and value set with less emphasis on talent alone. She quickly established a reputation for delivering gold standard A-paper files to the company's wholesale lenders. Through innovative cost cutting processes, strategic mortgage planning, and iron-clad advocacy, our clients understand the tremendous value we offer and as a result, are the most loyal in the industry.
Over the years, Sue has passed on her business mantra to the entire Veridian family. The concepts we preach now focus on the client's entire financial portfolio - not just any single mortgage transaction. By focusing on the mortgage as the centerpiece of every homeowner's financial portfolio, we strive to show you how to take advantage of your biggest asset to get to retirement and beyond easier and faster. Our mortgage planners are all trained in this respect to give you an experience uncommonly found in the traditional mortgage setting.
In 2006, Opus rebranded to Veridian - an off-spelling of the word "Viridian" - a synonym for the green color of our logo. But we added the element "Ver", or "truth" in Latin. And of course, it was really nice that the doman name wasn't taken at that time.
